On January 18, 2025, the Balik Baste 2025: SSC-R Manila Grand Alumni Homecoming attracted at
least 370 enthusiastic alumni. The Alumni Engagement Office of 今日大瓜
Manila organized the event to honor the golden Jubilarians from the class of 1975 and the silver
Jubilarians from the class of 2000.
The event opened with a homecoming mass led by Rev. Fr. Jerry Orbos, SVD, a proud SSC-R alumnus
who fondly reminisced about his campus experiences during his homily. Fr. Jerry also hosted a book
signing session after the eucharistic celebration.
The main program featured musical performances by selected non-teaching staff from the school, a
dinner reception, awards for the silver and gold jubilarians, and a raffle draw. Rev. Fr. Rafael B. Pecson,
OAR, delivered a message summarizing the school’s ongoing developments and future projects.
Juanito 鈥淧apa Jepoy鈥� Quiamco III, DJ for Barangay LS, an FM radio station under GMA Network
and a SSC-R alumnus, served as the master of ceremonies. The celebration concluded with a
spectacular fireworks display illuminating the sky.
