  • Bachelor of Science in Entertainment and Multimedia Computing major in Game Development
  • Bachelor of Science in Entertainment and Multimedia Computing major in Digital Animation-Technology
  • Bachelor of Science in Sports & Wellness Management

Documentary requirements consisted of boundaries of property, curriculum, program profile; listing of faculty of general education and professional courses; data of compliance; CHED minimum requirement of resources for administrators, faculty, library, laboratories/physical facilities; comparative analysis of CHED CMO and the SSC-R profile; listing and description of support structures for general use and specific purposes; listing of learning resources for general use and specific purposes ; result of the survey for college programs preferred by prospective enrollees were already submitted to the Office of the Chairperson, CHED , Patricia Licuanan last October 26, 2017.

The SSC-R Human Resource and Development Center (HRDC) conducted the following activities to improve the skills and produce promising outcomes in the development of the employees’ skills and practices necessary for collaboration, professional growth, management, and leadership abilities:

1. The In-Service Training for Faculty of College, Senior High School , Junior High School and Grade School held at the Carceller Theater last June 20-22, 2017

2. Religious and Lay Administrators’ Gathering held at San Sebastian Convent on September 21, 2016 and July 5, 2017 which aim to start the school year with a feeling of oneness and camaraderie among religious and lay administrators; re- establish support for one another in the achievement of institutional goals; and strengthen commitment to one’s duties and responsibilities.

3. Institutional Pilgrimage at the Shrine of the Divine Mercy in Bulacan and Our Lady of Manaoag in Pangasinan last November 12, 2016.

SSC-R qualifies for IDIG /ssc-r-qualifies-for-idig/ Tue, 17 Oct 2017 12:00:17 +0000 http://sscrmnl.edu.ph/?p=1244 SSC-R Manila received an e- mail from CHED that its application for PhP11 Million Institutional Development and Innovation Grants (IDIG) on Project Title: Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (BSA) Borderless Curriculum passed the National Vetting Panel last August 11, 2017 after qualifying for the regional vetting.

SSC-R complied with some recommendations for full proposal with two revisions on financial aspect. The acknowledgment from CHED was received by the school last October 13, 2017.

San Sebastian College- Recoletos (SSC-R) Manila signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Cultural Exchange with Naresuan University (NU).

Along this line, 10 SSC-R students visited Naresuan University in Phitsanulok, Thailand from June 2-16, 2017 while the faculty members and students from Naresuan University visited SSC-R Manila and Canlubang from July 12-25, 2017.

The delegation were toured to historical and Tourist destinations like Malacañang Palace, Tagaytay and Villa Escudero for cultural experience.

They also visited University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City and TV Station ABS-CBN for educational purposes.

For the SSC-R Campus activities, they showed their expertise in cooking by demonstrating how to cook some Thai cuisines with Mrs. Ma. Teresa Valeroso as in- charge of this activity.

For outside campus activities, Dr. Cristina Caluza, Dr. Cristina Tañedo, Dr. Rachelle Franco, Mrs. ma. Antonietta Zoleta and Miss Thea Pamela Pauline Javier took charge of the group.

The Speakers were Prof. Vicente Antonio V. Pijano III and Dr. Nelson Marcos.

Among the activities implemented in order to encourage the Sebastinians to engage in research are as follows:

  • Purchased Grammarly software for the checking of grammar and Turnitin software for the checking of plagiarized works;
  • Hold a research colloquium for the students last March 2017;
  • The 2nd Research Colloquium for faculty was held at the Bar Review Center last November 29 with the following paper presenters:

The 75th Foundation Anniversary Marker which was unveiled last March 3, 2017 depicts the 75 years of existence of մ as an educational institution.

The two numbers in the logo, first 7 which is notably known as a lucky number, signifies excellence in the academe and the number 5 design with an image of fire on top symbolizes the fire-burning desire of SSC-R clientele for holistic learning experiences; the lower figure, half part of heart stands for commitment of the institution to educate not only the mind but also the hearts of everyone.

The logo in the marker was designed by Jose Michael P. Evangelista, IT student the marker which measures 36 X 36 inches, made of solid brass material with a structure made of concrete cement and stone granites was designed by Architect Ariel Pelismino from Cavite City.

In the national competition for excellence organized by the CMLI through the Children and Youth Academic Day (CAYAD) 2017, the following Grade School winners include Mark Angelo Y. Arda proclaimed as Cham-pion, Spelling Bee; Raizey Abiel M. Reyes as 1st Runner up, in Essay Writing in Filipino; Angelo Dela Rosa as Champion in Editorial Writing in English; Abigail Jhezerie S. Ordonio as Champion in Editorial Writing in Filipino; Daniel David M. Hinkle 1st Runner up, Poetry Writing in English; Bianca Aguilar, 1st Runner up, Poetry Writing in Filipino; Miranda Maricella Shem C. Pasidis, Champion, Extemporaneous Speech in English; Sebastian Dane Bien, Champion, Extempo- raneous Speech in Filipino; and Rossel Marl P. Trinidad, 1st Runner up, Poster Making.

In the 8th National YMCA Adviser Seminar-Workshop and Junior Leaders Campference, the Grade School Department received awards for the Biggest Delegation and individual awards for the following graders: Raizey Abiel M. Reyes, Champion in Word Factory; Lecxon Lyzander Palma, 3rd place in Word Factory; Jesus Otamias Jr., Champion, Chess- Boys Division; Wendell Villadolid , 3rd place, Chess- Boys Division; Jean Romelind G. Meanwhile in the 28th Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA) National Assembly of High School Students held in Baguio City, SSC-R was recognized with an Outstanding Delegation while on the individual level, some student delegates received recognitions for their leadership skills and excellence and were elected as officers and these include Fatima Queenie Joy M. Cagandahan, Grade 10-St. Augustine, elected as Commission Chairman and Minority Floor Leader, and was awarded as one of the Outstanding Delegates; Rhealyn C. Bendal, Grade 10- St. Augustine, elected as Commission Rapporteur; Carlos Louise P. Colengco, Grade 9-St. Peter, elected as Commission Rapporteur; Charlene Mae C. Mendoza and Loraine Riza A. Pastrana, Grade 10-St. Augustine, elected as Commission Governors); Robert Arelle R. Lacap and Andre F. Andrada, Grade 9-St. Peter, elected as Commission Governors; Miguel Angelo L. Basuel, Grade 7-Charity, elected as Commission Governor.

A set of awards was also received by students for winning in the various competitions in the assembly and these are: Miguel Angelo L. Basuel and Paul Timothy C. Hernandez, Grade 7 – Charity, as runners-up in the Extemporaneous Speaking ; Jullyann Richell P. Escolar Chua, Grade 8 – Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, Slogan Making Contest in English ; Kyle K. Martinez, Grade 9 – St. Peter, winner in Y Got Talent ; and Jonlene Mae S. Andal, Grade 10 – St. Augustine , as winner in Spelling Quiz Bee and Chess Female Category.

However, the institution is still waiting for the Commission on Higher Education Memorandum Order to proceed with the undertakings.

The Sebastinian Graduate Attributes is anchored in the Order of the Augustinian Recollects or the “Tatak Rekoleto” identity in the academe:

(a)   Orthodoxy in Catholic Faith Demonstrate correct understanding, assimilation and proclamation of the fundamentals of the Catholic Faith (i.e. Triune God, Church, Magisterium, Sacraments, etc.),
